Powe Farms

Cairo, GA

Powe Farms is located in Cairo, GA and is run by Ricky Powe who was born and raised right there in Cairo, GA. He has farmed for over 35 years and his farm is on the same dirt his grandfather started farming in 1952. In 1952, his grandfather spent $2,195 on all the equipment needed to farm 150 acres at that time. Powe farms currently grows a variety of peppers and tomatoes. Ricky got started with his farming career in 1984 with about 20 acres of Lima beans and still has some of the same loyal customers from the day he started. Today, he farms a variety of tomatoes, peppers, pickles, yellow squash, zucchini, and half runner beans. Powe Farms has also started transferring some of their conventional crops over to organic crops to provide a larger selection to customers.
